  1. Focused substance abuse treatment

We could introduce specialized substance abuse treatment programs for individuals with a history of drug-related offenses. This is important as substance abuse significantly drives criminal behavior. Adjusted programs addressing addiction help individuals develop coping mechanisms, reducing the likelihood of going back into doing criminal activities.

  1. Mental health counseling and support :)

We could also implement extensive mental health counseling services for individuals with diagnosed mental health disorders. This would be vital to the programs as mental health issues contribute to criminal behavior and can slow down successful reintegration. Targeted counseling services address these underlying issues, increasing someone’s ability to lead a stable life after being released.

  1. Employment support

This proposes to increase vocational training programs and establish partnerships with other employers to find job placement for ex-offenders. This is crucial because unemployment can lead back to reoffending. Offering practical skills training and employment support positions to individuals to secure stable jobs can reduce the likelihood of returning to criminal activities due to financial strain.
